Stepping Out for a Cause: The Step Out for Cancer Run 2025
Yesterday, I had the privilege of joining hundreds of participants at the Step Out for Cancer Run, held at the iconic Randwick Racecourse in Sydney. The event brought together runners and walkers of all ages to raise awareness and funds for Australians affected by cancer.
Held in partnership with the Cancer Council, the run celebrates resilience, connection, and the healing power of movement.
Running for a Greater Purpose
Events like the Step Out for Cancer Run remind us that movement goes far beyond fitness. It’s about hope, solidarity, and the belief that small actions — like each step taken on the course — can make a big difference in people’s lives.
For many of us, it’s also a personal journey. Every runner brings their own story, motivation, and dedication to the cause. As an osteopath, I see firsthand how movement and community can uplift both body and mind. This event captured that perfectly
The Connection Between Movement and Health
Running, walking, and regular exercise play a powerful role in supporting both physical and emotional wellbeing. They enhance circulation, improve joint mobility, boost mood, and promote overall vitality — exactly what we encourage our patients to pursue in everyday life.
At The Body Project, we believe that health isn’t just about fixing pain — it’s about empowering people to move with confidence, to feel connected, and to live well.
A Day to Remember at Randwick
